+ Green Day are filming a second video to 21 Guns? Didn't they already win a VMA for that?
+ Their first album hasn't even been out a week, and Them Crooked Vultures are already planning their second? Hopefully there will be lots of touring going on to support both, right? Right? :D???
+ Gimme that new Alkaline Trio! I know, I know, not until February. I'm intrigued, b/c I thought they were label-less now that their Epic contract was up, and that Matt Skiba was going to have a solo album out this winter. But then they signed to Epitaph, and suddenly there are plans. :D
+ Kripke is a magnificent bastard, of course. I have mixed feelings about the results of this episode for a variety of reasons, but mostly I'm all A;SLKDJFA;LKDSFJ NO MORE SPN UNTIL JANUARY?
+ I'm trying to find a polite way to tell my half-sister that I would prefer not to receive her "Christian" chain emails. No, really, that word is normally in the subject line. A) I hate chain emails. B) I am not Christian. I've already had this discussion with my father with respect to his political (ie, GOP-loving, Obama-bashing) chain emails, but apparently I need to repeat it with her.
+ I sort of really love my new glasses. I've had them a week, and it's still weird to see the frames at the periphery of my vision after having wireless frames for so long. Every time MrIris sees me in them, he serenades me with, "Ooh-ooh, she looks just like Buddy Holly." I'm not sure that's a compliment. But whatever.
+ Chicago this weekend: :DDD (IDK what we're doing other than seeing the Wisconsin/Northwestern game on Saturday. Don't even care. Autumn in a place that actually has seasons. Shopping on Michigan Ave. Trying to convince ppl to check out whoever's at Beat Kitchen or Subt.)

Today was the longest, crappiest day. Well, not *really* the longest, b/c I've worked some long days lately, and I was only at work for 11 hours today. But still. Shitty.
On the way home, I was station-surfing, and found Addicted on one of the local pop stations. And seriously, there's a family-friendly version of their "I'm so addicted to / the things you do / when you're going down on me" bit? Really? Mix96 can't air that? A station decision or an FCC one? B/c I would have sworn that The Buzz plays the explicit version. Or, IDK, maybe I'm just recalling it from seeing Saving Abel perform it? Anyone know?
I am going to go drink a very large glass (more than a pint) of stout.
I'd say that I'm going to write, because my big bang fic is stalled at 5k words, but I've reached the point where I have no desire to type, no matter how much I think about the plot.
ETA: I forgot! Just a thought. The Snakes and Suits tour is acoustic, and if it's like the last acoustic tour, that means William Beckett and Sisky are the complement for TAI. How many of you think that if Carden was on the tour, Tom Conrad and Empires would still be on the bill for the back end of the tour?

Sisky's interview with LiveDaily entertains me. He's so earnest. And there's so much Pete-love going on in interviews, lately. I feel sort of bad that I'm not a bigger fan. Not that I hate on him or anything, I just don't love him as much as a lot of bandom seems to.
I'm entertained by the idea of Sisky and the Butcher doing all their tracking together. *adjusts tin-hat to sit more comfortably*
Also, am I the last person to see the Jack's Mannequin video session at LD?

why_me_why_not reminded me about the vampire!Jon fic that's sitting unfinished.
It's languishing partly because I'm a slacker, but also because it was originally started as a back-and-forth comment fic, and the POV switches between Brendon and Jon.
Now, personally? I hate back and forth POVs within a scene. It's okay if it's a clearly marked, between-scene change, but I find it off-putting to read one paragraph in one person's head, and then the next paragraph is someone else's POV.
But if I put all the fic in one POV, I lose some details. Or more dialogue has to be added, something has to be done to get the reader to see the other character's POV without actually, you know, head-skipping.
Then it occurred to me: maybe I'm just anal about this. Thus, A POLL! (Well, also because I was in the mood for some ticky-boxes.)
