I think I have been stockholmed into TSN fandom without EVER SEEING the movie, in the shortest amount of time it has ever taken a fandom to interest me. Especially since I am still not planning on ever seeing TSN.

I blame, in no particular order, [livejournal.com profile] harriet_vane, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, and the ridiculously earnest and dorkily charming Jesse Eisenberg.

OK. NyQuil. Tea. An entire box of tissues. A copy of Mysterious Skin. I think I'm set for the evening.

OHMYGOD ME TOO.

except i have [livejournal.com profile] bloodygoodgirl/tumblr to blame. jesse eisenberg! i have loved him since he did that stupidly awesome werewolf movie with like, everyone ever.

also i think i am convincing stash to write fic. FOR A MOVIE/FANDOM I AM NOT A PART OF WHAT.

I have no desire to see the movie. I don't want to KNOW the movie. I just want ten million more awesome PR thingamabobs and interviews and appearances on late-night TV where Jessee Eisenberg is charming and nervous and sweet, and for Andrew to continue to tell us how he knew he had to fall in love with Jesse for their characters to work.

True story: I was thinking about rewatching Cursed, b/c I just saw Christina Ricci on Broadway this weekend and I was like, "Wow, she's a decent actress outside of the really bad movies I've seen her in... I should watch them again!" and I didn't remember that JE was IN THAT MOVIE.

(Werewolves. Come on. There should ALWAYS be werewolves involved at some point. Or zombies. Which, hey, heh.)

i know, right? like, i can barely stand the fact that i HAVE a facebook, or that it even EXISTS, let alone pay to go watch a movie ABOUT ITS CREATION. wtf wtf.
... but they are rather charming bastards, i must admit.

and omg you REALLY NEED to rewatch that. judy greer! joshua jackson! michael rosenbaum! that talk show host dude craig something i think!

ALSO THE VERY END WHERE IT PANS AWAY TO JESSE EISENBERG WALKING DOWN THE STREET WITH THE GIRL HE FINALLY WON OVER. AND THE GUY SHE WAS DATING WHO REALIZED HE WAS GAY, BECAUSE OF JESSE, ON HIS OTHER SIDE.
LIKE. REALLY. THEY TOTALLY WENT THERE FOR US. WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO ASK.

and no one ever wrote me the fic, either. :(

I haven't seen TSN. It's definitely not a prerequisite for finding Jesse Eisenberg THE CUTEST NEUROTIC THING EVER. I just.

I should probably send the email chain fic, I guess.

HE JUST WANTS TO TALK ABOUT HIS CATS, OKAY, HE DOESN'T HAVE A TV OR WATCH MOVIES OR GET MAIL OR LEAVE HIS BEDROOM. ;___; Did you see the interview where he talked about crying EVERY DAY in 1st grade? And the bus driver offered to get everyone candy if Jesse JUST DIDN'T CRY ONE DAY? I like. I can't. And then ANDREW. WHO LOVES HIM. LIKE, LITERALLY LOVES HIM.

I have a problem, clearly.

I am half-way through the links over at [livejournal.com profile] imntsaying's post. Mostly my thoughts are incoherent: BOYS. JESSE. OH, BOYS.

He is IRRESISTABLE. And if you can somehow handle Jesse and his Thoughts On Cats, there is Andrew, being SO CUTE and bubbly and rambling and giggly and twitchy and all over Jesse, because he clearly thinks Jesse is the funniest, most talented, best person.

I feel like I got hit by a fandom mack truck.

Even if you have no interest in TSN, the commentary is GOLD. Andrew spends most of it talking ABOUT JESSE.

Is there any way to see the commentary without seeing the movie? :/

Not that I'm aware of. D: Unless you watch commentaries like I do - having it on in the background while you text, check tumblr/lj/email, read stories while listening.

Why so against seeing the movie?

I have mostly negative feelings about Facebook, and don't really see Zuckerberg as someone I have or want to have sympathetic feelings for.

Oh, I get that, but I think you would enjoy the movie. I am not a big fan of facebook myself, but seeing the movie had no real bearing on my opinion of Zuckerberg. I didn't think of him much before I saw it, and I didn't think much of him after I saw it. There is nothing in it that would force you to have sympathetic feelings for him.

Obviously, I have no stake in whether you see it or not, but I thought it was a great movie about relationships. I'm a big fan of both Fincher and Sorkin, and they are at the peak of their game in this. As part of that, the movie doesn't really take sides. It manages to present everything fairly evenhandedly. Plus, the performances are all great. I'd recommend Netflixing the DVD and checking out the movie, and if you hate it, there's always the awesome commentary. :)

Hm, maybe. I really like much of Sorkin's work, but the topic of this movie put me off. Maybe. It can't hurt to add it to the queue. :) Thanks for the advice!

Hi! Random person popping up, I've been wanting to friend you for a while! And since I also pretty much went from zero to OMG JESSE EISENBERG AND ANDREW GARFIELD YOUR BROMANCE IS THE MOST ADORABLE EVER in like two days, this seems like the perfect opportunity.

Friends?

Sure! I recognize your username, but I am totally socially backwards even on the internet, and am rarely bold enough to go friend other people without having spoken to them first. :)

Oh, I am totally shy and socially awkward on the internet! I feel like I never learned the etiquette to friending because I go on these ninja friending sprees and I never know if people think it's weird to have someone be all HAI LET'S BE FRIENDS. And then I ramble. Case in point. I promise I'm not a total loser like the first impression may imply!
