I met a bunch of awesome folks, like [livejournal.com profile] vic_ramsey, [livejournal.com profile] xingou, [livejournal.com profile] eckerlilas, [livejournal.com profile] fiddleyoumust, and [livejournal.com profile] shutyourface on Thursday and Friday. Actually, I met more people, but I can't remember all the real names and LJ names (and someday my brain is going to explode from the cognitive dissonance of dual identity, just so you know). Others who saw the Texas RBL dates plus the PWTs/The Cab show at the Meridian on Friday will probably write epic reviews and include pictures, so I'm not going to do a whole recap.

Highlights (minus my facepalm moment after the show Thursday night):

1. Surprise meet&greet that allows us to still get barrier? AWESOMEST THING EVER.

2. Spencer Smith is even prettier in person than in pictures and video and as seen from across the stage. Jon Walker really *is* that mellow. Or high. Same difference. It makes his little bare-foot dancing-off-in-his-own-world performance that much more entertaining.

3. My tattoos were apparently a curiosity (which strikes me as weird, b/c it's not like tattoos are unusual or anything, esp. with that crowd), as the Plain White Ts dudes asked to see them and about their meaning. Which only worked because the bands were all seated alphabetically, and I had some extra time while the people behind me were gushing over the Discos. And apparently they were memorable enough for Mike (bassist) to recognize them the next night when I was at the barrier in front of him (again).

4. I really have no idea what Singer is doing when he's kneeling and being twisty and bendy, other than showing us his gray briefs. Get out of the way! You're blocking my view of Johnson and Cash! *cough*

5. Uh, is the "I'm single, so any single girls or guys, see me after the show" schtick going to be a normal intro to Lying forever? I mean, I know the single part has been for the entire Pretty.Odd touring cycle, but the "guys, too" part? (I LOL'd when it was followed by "Is that weird, the guys too?" tacked on at the end. My thought? It's not weird in Austin. Or to most of their fans.)

6. Zack is made of awesome. :)

7. Crazy fans who creep into dressing rooms and freak the band dudes out? Ruin things for EVERYONE.

8. Ian would smoke Keith Richards' ashes. (IDEK, okay?)

9. Signed setlist from the PWTs at Meridian FTW! :D

10. I don't hate Hey There Delilah any less than I did before. But my irrational love of early PWTs songs has grown, now that I've seen them as headliners instead of doing an abbreviated set that is mostly songs from Every Second Counts.

Do I need to go to Dallas on the 30th to see The All-American Rejects?

I don't understand why they're getting attention NOW, because they're not new! I'll find some pics, but seriously, all they are:

1. Eye of Horus at the nape of my neck
2. Shamrock on my clavicle
3. Text on my biceps in large font: AWAKE AWARE BREATHE
4. On the ball of my shoulder: Dance like nobody is watching

Seriously. Not brightly colored or fancy, just solid black font. I don't get the sudden interest.

I think people are naturally interested when it's just words, partly because they maybe can't read it at first, and partly because it's maybe not as common? I just got my first tattoo, and it's just black font, but everyone everywhere asks what it is (a checkout girl at Victoria's Secret actually grabbed my hand to see it when I gave her my credit card yesterday). I really like the idea of the text on your biceps.

At least you're getting noticed for the right reasons, yeah? I mean, you've put time and money into getting these done (and getting them done well), so at least people notice that.

Hi! I friended you after the awesome funtimes this week. I was Shirley. Well, I still am, but you know.

Actually, I've been to 10 panic shows this year (lol craziest) and that's the only one brendon has said the 'guys too' thing at. I don't know of any other time he said it, other than that one time overseas, but idk. Maybe it was just that no one documented it. DOCUMENT THAT SHIT, PEOPLE.

Hi! :) I'm terrible at remembering which names go with which new faces. I just tried to keep some of the LJ names in mind, and hoped that people wouldn't be like, "Who is this random person friending me now?"

Ten shows? Ngh. *jealous*

Poor Bden, trying to come out, but no one believes him. *adjusts tin-hat*

No, really, how will they introduce that song when/if he ever starts seeing someone?

I am so excited for them to make new music and tour again (like this tour hasn't just finished!) it's not even funny.

I know. I've seen them in like 8 different cities now. D: or maybe it is 7. Idk.

Lol maybe bden is contractually obligated to stay single forever so they have a way to intro that song.

IDEK, RIGHT? I mean, the next month is SO QUIET on the music front (except that I'm in the pit at the Metallica show on Thursday), and it's going to be MONTHS now before we get more Panic. :(

Hi! Your puppy was adorable, and so well-behaved! :)

When are The Cab coming back through town so I can laugh at them again, I ask?

I don't know. :( My face looks like this -> ;_; I always miss the tards once they're gone, but so far the longest I've gone without seeing them in Texas since February was 3 months.
