• I slacked too much to post January's most-listened-to mix at the time, but I spent this afternoon compiling it and February's as well. Shut up, I was hungover and that was as much as my brain could handle.

Let me know if you DL, please?

January's ZIP

Lying From You (Live in Texas), Linkin Park
Mistaken For Strangers, The National
This Is How I Disappear, My Chemical Romance
Tranquilize, The Killers w/ Lou Reed
Die, Die My Darling, The Misfits
Friends Don't Let Friends Dial Drunk, Plain White T's
Creep, Radiohead
In Defense of the Genre, Say Anything
Undertow, Suzanne Vega
Cute Without the 'E', Taking Back Sunday
Shed Your Skin, Indigo Girls w/ Tom Morello
I Promise This Won't Hurt, Gallows
Wine Red, The Hush Sound
Hands Held High, Linkin Park
She's Not There, Steve Carlson
How Long Is the Night, Thursday

Shed Your Skin is one of my favorite songs, all time. And this version, because it's Tom Morello on guitar there? Whole worlds of yes.

February's ZIP

refreshed link: right here

The Good Left Undone, Rise Against
Desert Song, My Chemical Romance
Take It Away (live), The Used
Garden, Pearl Jam
Swing Life Away, Rise Against
Trying to Escape the Inevitable, Pencey Prep
Kill All Your Friends, My Chemical Romance
Tom Sawyer, Mindless Self Indulgence
Anyway You Want It, Rise Against
You're Crashing But You're No Wave, Fall Out Boy
I'll Run, The Cab
Send My Love to the Dance Floor I'll See You in Hell (Hey Mister DJ), Cobra Starship
I'm A Fake, The Used
An Honest Mistake, The Bravery
Remember to Feel Real, Armor for Sleep

I've been on a Used/Rise Against kick for most of the month, with Cobra Starship songs earning only slightly fewer hits.

Rise Against, why aren't you playing the Warped dates in TX?

Ditto to The All American Rejects. Please to be 'splaining?

Also, Bert McCracken et al., please come to Houston, not just Austin.

[livejournal.com profile] why_me_why_not booked her flight, and she's going to see HCT with me. This fills me with glee.

Death Eater's Wife, which I wrote for a [livejournal.com profile] sunandsmut exchange ages ago, earned an Order of Merlin, 2nd Class in the 2007 OWL awards. Thanks to whoever nominated and voted!

• Fic inspired by [livejournal.com profile] ficsoreal's poll. Vampire Porn (Or: Fangs Really Don't Get In The Way of a Blowjob). Y/N?

Oooh. Snazzy. Will definitely be downloading at some point when I am not stuck with craptastic internet. This may call for a trip to the library at lunch tomorrow. Heh.

A great big hell yes to that last. Have you READ the vampire!Bob fic, Bob Will Never Hurt You yet?

Hee, yes, that's the fic that inspired the poll. Which inspired vampire porn. B/c I need more fic ideas to crowd useful knowledge out of my brain, really.

Wow, you have nice taste in tunes! I feel old, a few of these I've never heard of. Been cooped up with my stinky old records too much lately I guess. How are ya, pallee?

Er, really? About the good taste? I usually feel like a pop-culture junkie when I list my music. I mean, in comparison to the awesome and eclectic taste that you and B and Fletch all have.

Some of 'em are young. Like The Cab - I think the oldest member of the band is 18. I saw them live last week and they made me feel OLD. And all I could think was, "You are the age of my cousin, and if I saw him do that in public, I'd give him Such A Lecture, OMG!"

I've been trying to be more social with real-life folks and less dependent on the internet for interaction. I'm not sure it's working, tbh. I miss everyone, and feel like the world's biggest dork for feeling like I have more in common with my internet pals.

It might've expired, I don't know how many downloads it allows. I'll reload it when I have a break this afternoon and send you the link, OK?

That would be fantastic! It said the max number of downloads had been reached, or something.

Thanks so much!
