We watched Mrs. Henderson Presents last night, and it had me wondering. What exactly is a British nipple? How is an Italian one different? I didn't realize that differences in nipples were due to nationality or ethnicity.
*pulls collar of shirt out and eyes nipples*
Hmm... wonder what category mine fall into?

Er... yeah. Sorry about that. *lets collar fall back to chest*

1. Went out for anniversary dinner. Lovely little Italian place. Four years officially. Does that mean the unofficial years don't count?

2. Must figure out plans to meet C&T tomorrow for baseball game. *sigh* If I have to sit in the stupid brew pub one more time….

3. Dirty laundry galore. Why can’t my clothing wash itself?

4. Just posted the [livejournal.com profile] slashfest Fred/George thing Closing time. Stupid title, but I wanted it off my desk so that I can focus on something else.

5. [livejournal.com profile] magdelena1969 wrote some celebratory drabbles, and my prompt was for Neville/Draco, Mimbulus mimbletonia, greenhouse five. She responded with a brilliant triple drabble. You should also take a peek at her response to [livejournal.com profile] robriki’s prompt: Snarry, microwave. :D

5. Mapping a route for the next bike ride. Maybe up to Brae’s Bayou? Depends on how busy it normally is on a Sunday morning.

6. Must pick up tickets for Witness for the Prosecution for Sunday afternoon. If this show isn’t an improvement over The Miser, we’ll rethink the season tickets we had planned to buy as an anniversary gift to each other.

7. ONE WEEK LEFT ‘TIL BUZZFEST! OMG, Staind, Shinedown, Candlebox and so many more bands!

8. Big conference on the East Coast next week. The Chief is out of town all week. I’m gonna to be rockin’ out in lab.

9. Got our NIH grant scores back. Fuck. Top 15th percentile. An improvement. Last funding cycle, they funded the top 15%, and we were at 17%. This cycle, because of budget cuts to the NIH, they’re funding the top 12%. Since he’s never gotten an NIH grant before, they’ll subtract 2 points, bringing us to the 13th percentile. Depending on how many applicants there were for this granting period, we might be funded.

Nipples have nationality? Huh. *grin* Aside from raising questtions about nipples, how did you like the film? I've been wanting to see it (Judi Dench is a goddess among women), but when I rented itt a few weeks ago, I ran out of time.

It was my contribution to the Nexflix queue, but we both enjoyed it. I like that era, the costumes, the way formal manners were forced to change with the necessities of war. Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins were great. And Dench's scenes with the Lord Chamberlain -- she handles him perfectly. The movie had footage from Hitler's march into Paris and the bombing of London, to set that scene.

Heh. When they were interviewing girls for the nude part of the show, the manager objected to too many "foreign" nipples, and one girl in particular whose appeared Italian. He requested British nipples for the revue. :)

I've still yet to see MHP, so I don't know the context it was said in, but I'm hazarding a guess it's soomit to do with the concept of the whole "Girl Next Door" thing in the sex entertainment industry - exotic's all well and good, but a lot of people really do want to look at girls who could easily be someone they went to school with or were served by at the supermarket last night and who leads this secret, "dirty" life.

/musing

*thinks* Hrm... "musing" while playing Guns n Roses rather loud in order to drown out the pathetic female-vocal'd schmalty sacchrine crap coming from next door... Doesn't quite seem to fit, somehow. And yet here I am! :)

Musing usually only happens with the proper soundtrack? :)

That's probably what they meant -- I was amused when the manager sent all the auditioning girls away because they had "foreign" nipples, and requested some British ones.

Judi Dench is just outstanding. I'm curious now to know how much of that story is true and how much is exaggerated or fictionalized to make the film's story-line more entertaining.

I still need to watch that! If you discover the answer to your question, I'd love to hear it!

Also, happy four official years, heh! :)

:) MrI's grandparents are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. Sixtieth! Friends of ours asked if we would do the same thing. I certainly hope so, but that amount of time is incomprehensible to me.

I'm pondering experimental design necessary to answer my question. Do you think other women will agree to participate in this survey? Please share: age, nationality/ethnic background, photo of breast.

*grin*

Yeah, at this point, living for sixty years is almost incomprehensible to me (though I'd certainly like to!!), never mind being married that long. Wow.

I think that's a great idea! :)
