I told my boss, and my family knows, so I guess it's OK to say it in public now: Aaron has a job offer in Chicago, so we're moving there ~July-ish.

Thanks! It is a big change, but I'm trying to look at it as an adventure.

I have mixed feelings. It's really good for Aaron, because he's been unhappy with his job for a while now, and it's a promotion and a raise (although the increased cost of living in Chicago will eat up most of that raise). The company will help us with the relocation, so even if we don't make anything on the sale of our house, it won't be a loss, and we've been wanting to get out of the 'burbs here anyway but houses that go on the market in our neighborhood have been staying on the market for a pretty long time, so we couldn't really afford to do it on our own. But I'm not looking forward to looking for a new job in the current economy, and I feel like my "I am not leaving until after our July grant deadline" is getting ignored, because he keeps telling people, "Oh, we'll be there by July!" \o/ /o\ ?
