Taddy Porter open for Alter Bridge tomorrow. I don't have strong feelings about any of the other bands on the bill, but seriously. TADDY PORTER.

Then it's quiet until the end of the month:

20th Underoath/Thursday OR Joe Satriani (maybe, depending on budget)
21st The Get Up Kids / Steel Train
22nd Bouncing Souls / NOFX
25th Against Me!
26th a bunch of bands I don't know plus Drive A OR 30 Seconds To Mars (subject to budget and time constraints)
27th Gold Motel + 3 other bands

I'm really looking forward to that show. The last time they came through Houston they opened for Silversun Pickups and the crowd was a bunch of hipsters who were totally not into them, which sort of brought the energy down and made me really sad, because they are usually pretty rockin'.

I saw them at ACL in 2008 and it was pretty awesome. There was a mosh pit! I'd like to do that again a time when I'm dressed for moshing instead of dressed for ACL. Sundress + floppy hat + flipflops is not good moshwear.

No, but totally appropriate for ACL. That was a good set. I had flipflops on too, so I edged off to the side to listen without getting trampled.
