a) I assume y'all know this, but I keep LJ separate from FB and Twitter, so I won't be crossposting, and I'd appreciate the same courtesy.

b) Also, as a reminder, I am [personal profile] favoritemistake over on DW. I keep forgetting to crosspost there, but I suppose if there's another mass migration, I'll start doing so.

c) Goddammit, my sister is evil. I had finally FINALLY gotten the fucked-up RPF story out of my head. But then she planted a new RPF idea there.

Our email exchange this morning:

Me: Today's snark between DC thinktanks re: Iraq policy reminds me of a bunch of smart kids in an AP class, waving raised hands and shouting "pick me, pick me". Because CAP sniping about CNAS and AEI should probably demoralize me (and on one level it does, because they are supposed to be non-partisan, but that is clearly NOT the case) but mostly it just makes me roll my eyes and scroll on to the next item in my google reader.

Her: I’m now seeing Tom Ricks and Nate Fick as pimply teenagers, sitting in an AP history class taught by Mr. Reppucci. (our HS history teacher)

Me: ...that was not quite what I imagined - mostly I had in mind Max Bergmann, Larry Korb, and Brian Katulis waving their hands at someone like Mr. Kotter (sp?, who BTW bore a suspicious resemblance to Genl. Petraeus rather than Obama), while Andrew Exum sat in the back row & kept working on his thesis - but now that the image is planted it will not go away.

Her: You're welcome. :P

The world does not need yet another HS AU. *facepalm*

d) I have listened to Are We The Waiting an unhealthy number of times since the AOL session with the American Idiot cast was released. I've got it in a loop with the cast CD, the American Idiot CD, and the Bullet In A Bible version [Did you know it's listed as We Are The Waiting there? I couldn't figure out why it wasn't with the other versions when I arranged the titles alphabetically. And also, b/c I listen to the CD version more than I watch the DVD, I'd forgotten that Billie Joe Armstrong introduces the song as St. Jimmy, so I was all "wut?" when I watched it again the other night, and saw/heard that.] and I need to set the iPod down and just Step. Away.

e) I'm gonna go write the next bit of the 5 Times fic that's living in my brain right this second.

f) And watch Jeremy Scahill on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

ETA: Operation New Dawn. Is that another installment of the Twilight saga, or a military political/diplomatic mission?

a) I don't know anyone on LJ who doesn't keep their fb separate. I mean, if I wanted to actually TALK to someone, I'd use LJ. I have a lot of LJ peeps on my facebook, but I only use that for non-ljish things.

b) added you back over there

c) I ♥ J and the world DOES need another HS AU! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MANY HS AUs!

d) Um. I don't think I have any of that? (yes, yes, whatever. I have limited music choices right now! country and bandom, that's about it.) You should share; I need to make new cds for my car.

e) YAYES!!!!

f) ♥

ETA: I'm still amused by that.

I have an unfinished HS AU in pretty much every fandom I've ever written in (except HP, where I have a ton of Hogwarts-era drabbles and ficlets still half-finished). I don't need to start another one.

LOL, I've had this tab open with the title Breaking Dawn: building a long-term strategic partnership with Iraq, for maybe... IDK, at least the last couple of days, and I keep seeing the title and forgetting what it's about until I click it, but then I'm too annoyed to read it, but I don't want to forget about....

OK, I'm lazy, so I'm uploading one, and here are already-available uploads of the others.

Bullet In A Bible (http://www.sendspace.com/file/lkovz5), the live album from Green Day's American Idiot world tour, recorded at Milton Keynes in the UK.

The AOL sessions were ripped and can be found here (http://community.livejournal.com/stark_sands/60484.html?thread=1207364#t1207364), at the [livejournal.com profile] stark_sands fan comm. Video in the post, audio in the comment thread.

Links to the cast recording are here (http://community.livejournal.com/stark_sands/36601.html).
