Day 20 of that meme? A hobby of mine

*points at last post*

Fandom. Writing fan fic. Reading. Listening to music, seeing live shows. In keeping with that, here, have a list.

Them Crooked Vultures - This is what I thought QoTSA was going to sound like. I flailed IRL and on Twitter when I saw them live, and the album totally lived up to the hype.

Cobra Starship, Hot Mess - I expected to be disappointed by this album, but I wasn't, even though I like the first half far more than the back half. It's slick on the surface, but still, every time I hear the lyrics, I think &GABE;

Weezer, Raditude - Rivers Cuomo. That is all.

The Used, Artwork - I just like to listen to this one. &dirty boys;

The New Heathers, The Fuel The Fire The Spark - :DD Never even took this CD out of my car. In fact, I think it hasn't left the CD player since I bought it last month after their show in Austin.

Green Day, 21st Century Breakdown - This could have been a letdown after the success of American Idiot, but it managed to be anthemic and entertaining at the same time.

Indigo Girls, Poseidon & The Bitter Bug - I never took this out of my car long enough to upload it into iTunes. I love the plugged in disc just as much as I love the acoustic one.

Dashboard Confessional, Alter The Ending - Um, I sort of like the acoustic disc better. But I'm a fan of their Unplugged more than the rest of their body of work, so that probably isn't a surprise.

Muse, The Resistance - Not a surprise to anyone, right? MARCH 18. TOYOTA CENTER. :D

Pearl Jam, Backspacer - I have not been wowed by Pearl Jam's last few albums. Ten and Vs were my favorites. But this one, yeah.

Mostly I'm amused that what I think was the best in terms of lyrics and content doesn't necessarily match what was played most frequently on my iPod over the last year. Heh. I guess I really play a fair amount of music from CDs in the car during my commute and at home when I'm writing or reading or vegging, and what I want in my ears to keep me perky and happy at work isn't necessarily what I'll listen to later.

Why won't someone let me have Muse for my birthday?

Your own personal Matt Bellamy *would* be a pretty sweet gift. :D

I agree. But I won't even be that picky. Your show is the day before my birthday.

MATTHEW BELLAMY, WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME MAKE THIS WRETCHED CHOICE? IT WAS BAD ENOUGH WHEN BRMC SCHEDULED THEIR SHOW IN HOUSTON FOR THE SATURDAY OF SXSW.
