I forgot to flail about this last night: yay, Martin Brodeur!

Except the local TV announcer made me cringe, because he called him Martine Brodeur, and said he surpassed Patrick Roy, whose surname rhymed with "toy", not the French "rwa" sound.



Theoretically, if I were to drive to Austin on Saturday to hang out and stalk Black Gold, who in Houston would be interested in tagging along?

I am trying to decide if I'm working tomorrow and going to Austin on Saturday, or skipping out of work and going to see The Hold Steady tomorrow - I don't know if I want to do the drive twice, but I can't miss two days of work and stay over Friday and see if there's any way into Stubbs to see Metallica. The only other time they're coming to Houston this summer is with DMB, once again at CWMP. DDD:

I followed the Devils for many years, and I've always liked Marty, so I was happy to see him finally break Roy's record.

Yeah! I've missed a lot of games this season (Games are too early! I'm never home in time!) but I got excited when I realized how close he was. :)
