OT: the science on CSI hurts my brain it is so stupid sometimes. Calcium sulfate hemihydrate? Is the form you'd buy the solid in. It would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS run on a mass spec as a single species. It'd fly as calcium ions, sulfate ions (if they flew together at all, depending on the type of MS, which can be specific for positive or negative ions and is usually done for positive ions), and water.

Even if atomic absorption was being used, you'd get metal analysis and anion analysis, but no "semihydrate" bullshit.

I saw JM at a smaller venue last time they were in town and it was awesome (except for the drunken frat dude that even Andy McMahon noticed), so I'm really excited to see them at the House of Blues.
