My left foot is larger than the right. I have these really nifty new shoes, black wingtips with four inch heels, and my right heel keeps slipping out of the shoe, even though it's laced tightly.

These shoes are pretty cool, but I probably should not have worn them to work. Four inch heels plus standing and walking all day? Not really comfortable for someone who usually wears hiking boots or Chucks.

(I'm not talking about the proposed bailout, because I have really mixed feelings about it.)

Austin City Limits? Rocked. I'll share some music when I get a chance.

I broke my left arm in fourth grade, and while it was in a cast I had a growth spurt. It's smaller than my right arm now. If I hold my two hands together my left fingertips are about a quarter-half an inch shorter than my right. That would be annoying in shoes, though.

Do you notice the difference when you're trying on sweaters or dresses, or is it just your hands where it's noticeable?

Not really. Loose long sleeves cover more of my left hand than my right, but it's not something I really pay attention to.

Okay, I want those shoes.

But yeah, maybe not great work shoes. :)

They're sort of like these oxfords (http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?index=2&category=dsw10cat70002&prodId=165580&brand=), but black and shiny. I really really love them, but I also really really need to sit down for a while now. ;)

Oooooh. Yep, just as cute as I was imagining.

Hope you have a chance to get off your feet soon!

I got home last night and kicked off the shoes, and MrIris was like, "You wore those to work?"

Uh-huh. Never doing it again.

The same thing happens with me. One shoe will fit perfectly and the other is always too large or too small. I think there is about a half size difference in my feet.

It's annoying! It's not such a big deal with athletic shoes, because thick socks mask the difference, but with dress shoes? I never know whether I should size shoes with the smaller foot and get blisters on the larger one, or stick with the loose shoe. I'm *not* buying two pairs of shoes in different sizes, because that's ridiculous!
