How can Condoleeza Rice accuse Russia of "intimidation of their sovereign neighbors" and supplying arms to states and groups that threaten international safety (read: American hegemony) with a straight face? Seriously. The US supplied Georgia's military. Who's the destabilizing force here, really?

ha! C.R. (and the rest of the current admin) are like crappy birthday magicians. They're trying to pull a trick, waving their right hand around and shouting as loudly as possible so you won't notice the bunny they're holding in their left. but they suck at it so we're all just sitting here like..."dumbass, we can see the bunny. give it a rest."

also her ability to bullshit the public with a straight face is higher than average from what i've seen. i'd be impressed if i weren't a) against all of her stances and b) worried about the fate of the world.

The thing that bothers me is that so many people *don't* seem to see that they're pulling a Wizard of Oz trick.

Re: CR... I find it utterly fascinating that her thesis advisor was Madeleine Albright's father. I mean, Albright was pretty centrist, and she backed alot of Clinton's foreign policy that was ultimately deleterious to the stability of the middle east (and thus indirectly the US), but she was NOT a proponent of pre-emptive war. How did he mentor two people who turned out to be so diametrically opposed, diplomatically speaking?
