First of all, Tabby is the evilest enabler EVER. She said, "Tell me a story about drunk!Brendon or drunk!Spencer?" in a text, and somehow the first things that popped into my head were drunk!girl!Bren and drunker!Spencer, a Pete-thrown party, and public groping. And somehow that looped back to an idea I had long ago, wherein Travie gets Bden high for the very first time at another one of Pete's get-togethers.

WTF, brain? I HAVE OTHER SHIT TO WRITE AND OTHER STUFF TO DO!

Also, now that I'm home and have access to my pics and such...

I would like someone to please explain this please:

Yeah, yeah, lots of people like the idea of Ryan/Gerard or Ryan/Mikey, and there's the occasional Brendon/Gerard fic. But I want Mikey/Brendon. Don't ask me why. I just do.

Everyone always talks about Ryan being the My Chem fan, and there are plenty of pics of him in Bullets and Three Cheers-era tshirts. But what about Brendon's clear emulation of Mikeyway and his admiration of Journey?



No, don't focus on Ryan and Spencer, look at Brendon.

Or, I don't know, maybe Bden's just an obsessive fanboy. And, oh, hey, isn't that the shirt that somehow mysteriously vanished as the birthday party wore on? Why? Did MyChem do/say something insulting (beyond Die. Slow.), something that made Bden rip it from his body in anger? Did Mikey's refusal to come to the party make him tear it off in a fit of pique? Did Spencer and Ryan stop nuzzling each other in public and decide it wasn't ugly enough to compete with their "I can wear fuglier clothes than you" contest, and try to force him into a plaid shirt and flannel vest, and Brendon rebelled? WHAT?

TELL ME YOUR THEORIES.

Crack. I want it. And maybe I've had too much of it.

But I'm sorry to say that I wouldn't be all that excited over a brendon/mikey fic. :[

:) I figure it's all in the interpretation. I mean, are there really any pics of Ryan and Gerard together? I don't think there were any posted at the Ryan/Gerard manifesto (http://community.livejournal.com/bandom_ships/13088.html), but that doesn't stop people from exercising their imaginations.

It's not that I'm going to write Mikey/Brendon. I just saw those pics and was like, Hmm, this requires explication.

I focus on minutiae, I swear. When I look at those pics, I KNOW they're Mikey/Frank and Ryan/Spencer pics, but my eyes see the shirts, and I require an explanation!

I meant to tag that bday pic with "ignore Ryan and Spencer being boyfriends and look at Bden", but got busy with other stuff. Plus, maybe that can be included in the explanation: like, Frank's antics have made Mikey reluctant to get involved with another bandboy. Or... maybe Frank's jealous and possessive!

maybe brendon stole the shirt from mikey & was wearing it until he realized that pete was getting kinda jealous, which is ridiculous anyway b/c pete is all happy-ever-aftering with Ashlee and gave Mikey up, even though Mikey totally has Alicia's permission to have a boy on the side as long as she gets to watch sometimes. anyways, bren had to take the shirt off after Pete spilled some fruity, nonalcholic bullshit drink on it, and he just left it off when he realized it would help keep some of the attention off Ryan and Spencer, who are being way too fucking obvious.

Plus, he realizes that pics will be posted everywhere, and Mikey and Alicia totally stalk FBR_T, and they'll enjoy the eyecandy. He's not above flaunting what they're missing.

and yes! he's kinda a tease like that, but they'll get him back later when they've got him on speaker phone and they keep telling him all the things they'd like to do with him (to him) and he knows it'll be WEEKS before he sees them again.

Alicia coordinates with Pete (who wouldn't cooperate if he knew why she was inquiring about his label's touring commitments; he knows he shouldn't be, but his *is* a wee bit jealous) to arrange a surprise visit.

Spencer and Ryan specifically request later that they NOT have adjoining rooms with Brendon when Mikey and Alicia are going to be around. Zack just rolls his eyes and tells them that Jon and Brendon have to deal with pair of them every other hotel night, so they can suck it up on special occasions.

Me, too. I tend to not think about jealousy or ill-will between bands (that seems like a grade-school thing, you know?) but the fact that Gerard actually said that... it still makes me giggle.

ETA: I have to be honest. Mainly I just want PWP of Mikey/Brendon involving Mikey in his Black Parade trousers and space-hooker boots, which somehow ends in Brendon wearing a "Mikey Fuckin Way" tshirt onstage, preferably with crazy-ass sex hair.
