I should be happy that The Chief wants me to go to this meeting, right? But I'm not.

He just emailed me the dates for the FASEB conference in Vermont in July and said he'd like me to present a poster.

13-18 July.

Portus is in Dallas, 9-13July, and the George Michael concert (for which G has already purchased tickets) is the 14th.

I could leave Portus early and fly directly to Logan, but I don't want to bail on G for the concert. It's not the cost so much (although, geez, $85 + ticket fees seems like a lot to abandon after all the $12-16 dollar shows I've been going to lately) as the fact that I'll MISS GEORGE MICHAEL. Which, okay, cheezy and dorky and lame, but he was the first performer I ever saw at an arena, and I really want to see him again, and WE ALREADY GOT THE TICKETS.

Plus, G isn't the kind of person who will go to a concert by herself, so I'm not sure what she'll do if I can't go.

Phuckit.

I have experiment to do; I can't think about this right now.

ETA: ALSO. ACL's lineup is up, and it has induced hardcore flailing.

Jesus Christ. That lineup is fucking amazing. In fact, the only thing that could even REMOTELY make it better is MCR and you're already SEEING them multiple times.
