Just FYI: sterile 1M MgCl2 in a sealed bottle?

DOES NOT "GO BAD".

I have more to say, but that really just caps my day.

How're you guys doing?

He makes my brain hurt. I just... I don't understand how he got to be on so many papers when he's so fucking incapable of functioning in our lab.

He just spent an hour trying to find something that was on the shelf RIGHT WHERE I TOLD HIM IT WOULD BE. And then he asked what he should do to the antibody, dilute it, dissolve, what. My comment: there are directions in the package. Directions? What directions? He didn't actually get the directions out though, he just took the vial from the box.

*bangs head against the wall*

Hahaha, what's up with that? We have someone who comes by our lab for help on The Most Basic Things Evah, and he too thinks that basic salt solutions go bad. Like ... umm, what? lol

Dude. He told me I needed to order more mag chloride solid because there was something wrong with the bottle we had. Just. WHAT? We have, like, 500 g of solid and 500mL of the aqueous stuff. I made it two years ago, and we've maybe used 10mLs. But he wanted to make his own stock because mine was old and might have gone bad.

Yeah, because magnesium oxidizes, you know. Or some shit like that.
