Well, no. Nobody said it wouldn't hurt. Because a bunch of needles? Eventually will hurt, just a little, if only because the skin gets tender after repeated application.

But I forgot how much excess ink bleeds the first couple of days after a tattoo is applied.

I maybe shouldn't have had it done the same day I had my teeth ground and the next big change in the braces made. Because I am cranky when I'm feeling a lot of low-grade aches.

How are you, babe?

It's just the Eye of Horus, on my back. I'll have A take a pic when he gets home from poker night. I sorta wanted to get two at once, but the other one is going to have to be custom drawn, and I had a hard time getting the artist to understand what I wanted. Apparently my verbal description wasn't clear enough: an ouroboros as a bracelet, with the snake's body becoming a DNA helix. (I know, I'm such a science dork.) Gotta scan and manip some pics from my textbooks, I guess. :)

There's a moment where Gerard's arm with the mic is bent so that it almost looks like a heart, and you can see Mikey through it, and I want that heart-framed Mikey as an icon, but each time I try to cap that moment, it's blurry and useless.

You definitely have to want it. I got a henna version of this tattoo ages ago, and I knew I wanted it, but for one reason or another I never got it and never got it, and after my last birthday I was like, "I'm not getting any younger. I'm going to do all the things I keep saying I want to do 'some day' at the soonest opportunity."
