1. The iBook is dead. It's been limping along for a few months, and I was only using it for travel, but now it will not boot at all. I get the pretty blue screen. Ah well, Apple'd already replaced the logic board twice, gratis. And it is seven years old.

2. December Boys will open in Houston on 28September... while we're in Australia. I'm sorry to miss it, but OMG, we're going to be in Australia in two weeks.

Yeah, if it's still playing. We're going to be gone until October 14th, though. It opens the 28th here.

There's a hp-houston thing next weekend. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to go. It'll be at the Black Lab, which has a larger room for the meetups, and it will hopefully be a big group of new-ish folks there for the sorting.

And re: MacBook, I don't know. I admire them each time I browse in the Apple Store. But I've got a Mac Mini, so I feel guilty spending a lot of money on a laptop when I've got a perfectly good desktop machine.

Doooood. The premiere here was just last night... how about... if time and everything else permits... should we maybe perhaps see it here in Melbourne together? Of course, one thing that shall definitely be on the list while yer here will be a drive down (up?) St George's Road. I don't know which one is his, of course, but it's on there SOMEwhere! :)

Oh, we could totally do that! I wasn't sure if it'd be playing there. :D And somehow, movies always end up being something I don't think about when we're traveling elsewhere. Perhaps because there's always other stuff we want to do and not enough time. But this. Yay. I'm so excited about this trip, there just aren't enough words. :D
