- I totally thought Lawrence Ferlinghetti was dead. Don't ask me why. (Maybe because he's so firmly entwined with Kerouac in my mind?) So I was quite surprised to hear that Democracy Now's Labor Day broadcast will be devoted to him.

- If my IP finishes in time and there are still tickets left, I'm gonna go see Styx. *crosses fingers* eta (3:15pm): This work day sucks. I have three hours of work to do, and the Pavilion is an hour drive away without traffic or parking issues. Dammit.

- This morning my inbox had an email with this subject line: "Why bathroom sex is hot." My first thought was Someone got paid to research this? And to write it? I want that job. Because seriously, it's hot because you can get caught, because it's dirty and naughty and some of us have a public!sex kink.

Then I saw the subtitle, and I laughed out loud: So what is the eternal allure of sex in a stall, and does it make you gay?

Only men have sex with men in bathrooms? Um... not quite. I mean, I get that that's what this article is about, within the context of Craig's denial. But if gay men were the only ones who had sex in public bathrooms, the Mile High Club would be much smaller.
