Dude. DUDE.
Aug. 30th, 2007 08:29 pmExcuse me, flashback from my teenaged years.
J is the evilest, awesomest sister ever. (yes, this is related to the lj-cut text)
I emailed her about the Styx/Foreigner/Def Leppard thing, asking her to be the voice of reason ('cause we do that for each other, usually), and she responded "Haven't you already seen the Dead Leopards?", a reference to the twisted tunes that our favorite radio station, 98Rock, used to play. Her query had Lennie and Ziggy, the two fictional teenagers (reminiscent of Bill & Ted) who "sing" the tunes, stuck in my head all day. Wanna hear? She found a link for me. Go here and scroll most of the way down to It's the classic you asked for: Death By Misadventure. Heh. Sadly, I Wish My Mom Was A Biker Chick is not available. That, IMO, is the best twisted tune.
Then, I mentioned to her that I was excited to get home because the Homicide: Life on the Streets DVD set that had been on sale at A&E (and for which I spent part of August's remaining entertainment budget) should be waiting in the mailbox.
Her reply?
Hee! Spreading the SPN love everywhere. I don't think she particularly cares for Jared Padalecki, but she's even keener about geek-boys than I am, so I'm thinking she'd be a Sam-girl if she had to choose. Maybe.
Re: the concert… I'm still trying to decide. The gates open at 6pm and Styx is supposed to go on at 7pm. I assume that's a guesstimate, as usual. I'd have to brave rush-hour traffic on I-45 on a holiday weekend. Hmm….

I’m jealous.
Except I have Sam and Dean waiting for me, if I ever get home.
