List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

You Know I'm No Good (Amy Winehouse) Her voice and music, a paean to 60's Motown.

Sixty Minute Man (The Dominoes) So, I'm addicted to Bull Durham for more than the baseball, OK? There's poetry and music, too!

Wide Awake (Original version by Audioslave for Revelations, but I'm really loving Chris Cornell's acoustic version from Live In Sweden). Katrina. Political commentary. Plus it's CC and an acoustic guitar. "You can look a hurricane right in the eye… come pull the sheet over my eyes so I can sleep tonight, despite what I've seen today… you're somewhere trading lives for oil as if the whole world were blind…" Oh, Tom Morello, how I love your social conscience. Almost as much as your guitar licks.

19 Miles to Baghdad (Lizzie West and the White Buffalo) Um, OK, I'll stop with the political music now.

I'll Keep Your Memory Vague (Finger Eleven) "This won't break your heart but I just think it could."

Perfect Spot (Jason Manns) His voice, with a nice bit of guitar and bass behind him. Brushes on the snare, plus the cymbals. "The grass is greener, it's always so green on the other side. I need to know if you think so. The grass that I've got is the perfect spot for me."

She Loves (Steve Carlson) This song… I just love the way it starts out with instruments and Steve's voice, and ends on an almost operatic note. "A little bit of lovin' has long been regarded as a lot of treasure from above." (Bonus Steve Carlson song: She's Not There, which almost as awesome in his version as it was for The Zombies.)

Anybody here who hasn't already been tagged? You're it!

And hey, remember long ago when I requested links to glasses porn? Found some. Here's one I particularly enjoyed.

[livejournal.com profile] annella wrote Oral Optometry a while back, in which Dean gets glasses. Sam likes them. (adult)

I like the sound of that ... makes me feel like I have some power, or something. *grin*

I, too, love Bull Durham - great soundtrack, love the poetry, and even though Kevin Costner's a bit cheesy, I still love him in that movie. Alas, I think the only version I have is VHS, and we no longer have a functional VCR...

*off to search torrents for Bull Durham*

Costner's cheesy in Bull Dureham, but it's not the overblown, overdramatic cheese of his later career. It's, you know, 1988 par-for-the-course cheese. :)
