Revered author of Severus, Prince of Spies
Creator of Tayet
Teacher of Shakespeare and mathy Hemingway
Smiter of authors of poorly-written Severus/Hermione fanfic (but in a polite, reasonable way, of course)
You handle everything (at least the Stuff that you've shared with us, which might have sent me to the loony bin if it had occurred to me in such a short period of time) with dignity and grace, from family stresses to roommate issues. My inner introvert would like to sit in silence with yours. :) The contrast between your New England reticence and Midwestern openness is appealing, even though the reticence usually wins. You turned fandom into an intellectual pursuit of academic interest, rather than just... fangirling. How cool is that? Too cool for words.
If I had had an English professor like you when I was in high school or at university, I might have actually enjoyed reading Hemingway, instead of doing it as a chore.
