You know your chronic insomnia is bad when the dentist notices that your teeth are shifting because you're not wearing your sleep-only retainer for enough hours of the day, even if you faithfully don them before sleeping... for three or four hours per night.

(I love my dentist. Her staff is (? are?) fabulous, and I always end up staying and chatting with them after my appointment.)

OK. Coffee is being applied, to make up for the lack caused by my early morning dental visit.
