are you ready for more?
Jan. 20th, 2009 06:49 pm+ The planning and logistics people in my dept are clearly smoking crack falling down on the job. They asked on Friday at 3pm if we'd be ready to move our entire lab on Thursday. Uh... NO. We have to have incubators drained and decontaminated, the radioactive areas okayed by EH&S, and all of our lab shit cleaned and packed. Give us more than a week (esp. one that contains both a federal holiday and inauguration day), kthnx bye.
+ J was here for the weekend to escape inaugural craziness in MD/DC. We didn't do a ton, which makes me feel like a bad hostess, but somehow that doesn't really matter. To me, anyway.
+ General thumbs up for Last Chance Harvey. The little side story with Kate's mom was AWESOME.
+ My Bloody Valentine: &JENSEN;
+ Fall Out Boy in theaters: oh, Joe, could you *be* any more stoned? Could Pete's pants get any tighter? Patrick Stump, please just keep doing exactly what you were doing there. Same for you, Mr. Hurley. (One thing I really like about Folie A Deux is that he gets to bang the hell out of the drums for most of it.)
+ Also? Black Gold are listing SXSW, 18March on their myspace. :DD If you haven't already ordered (or got a leaked copy of) their new album, Rush, you can pick it up at iTunes.
