Also? Just so you know how broken my brain is? I was thinking about Nate Fick's "officers eat last" thing with respect to the Lady & the Tramp AU? And I had this vision of Brad and Nate pushing the meatball back and forth. Nate b/c he's healthy, he's had regular food and care for ages, but Brad's lived on the street for a while, he *needs* the nutrients more. But Brad think Nate needs it, so his system doesn't suffer too many shocks as he gets used to being a stray. Finally they each decided to take a bite, when it becomes clear that if *they* don't eat it, Ray's going to try to steal it out from under their noses.
