the 2010 US Open is finally over

I haven't posted many pics of the US Open because I've been sending them to the ladies in the daily email chain, but here are a few from tonight's final match:
First, LOLOL @ CBS NEWS and their failtastic coverage.

Nole played a good match. I actually expected it to go to five sets.

He managed some returns that lesser players probably wouldn't.

He is actually Gumby, isn't he?

At some points it seemed like he couldn't believe the shit they pulled off.

Rafa could see the doubters.

And they could see him.

He said, VAMOS. TAKE THAT.

And that.

And THAT.
OK, I really just put some of those in there because I have a huge collection of photos of his biceps (and his ridiculous facial expressions) and I wanted to use more of them.

And in the end, he was victorious.

I *am* sort of sad for Nole. He seems really charming and funny and gracious, on top of being an amazing athlete. It's really unfortunate, timing-wise, that he's peaking at the same time as Rafa and Federer are at their peaks.

Rafa probably was too, a little. I don't think that's what he was crying about here, though.

Still doubles BFFs, right?
The pair of them are so humble and seem to genuinely like each other; it makes me :DDDD. Oh, boys.

For the moment.

Sure. While Novak figures out how to wrest that title from Rafa's grasp.

Until then, Rafa's going to enjoy it.
Not impressed by CBS & ESPN's coverage and broadcast choices. Hopefully this year's delays and associated problems will help convince them not to push things later just to try and get the prime-time viewership.
