:DDDD
New music! Them Crooked Vultures' CD and Believers Never Die were waiting for me when I got home last night. I listened to TCV, then put the BND DVD on and got about half-way through the band commentary before forcing myself off my ass to exercise. My primary response: oh, boys.
The Get Up Kids tonight :D
White Collar. Possibly unpopular opinion: I could make Elizabeth/Peter/Neal an OT3, but otherwise, not so much with the Peter/Neal.
House, MD. Cameron needs to stop being a hypocrite. Um, yeah. That's all I have to say about last night's episode.
DDDD:
My grandmother is ~80 years old. She's never been in the best of health - she has lung problems from repeated bouts of pneumonia as a child followed by years of exposure to secondhand smoke, she suffered a stroke nearly 30 years ago, and she's overweight, with diabetes. She's been in and out of the hospital for the last couple of months. She fell and broke her arm, and had to have daily care, and just when she was healed she suffered congestive heart failure (for a second time). She's been in a nursing home because she can't care for herself and my mom & uncle & aunt can't just quit their jobs to take care of her, and she won't move out of her own home.
This weekend she had a critically low Hb count, so she was readmitted to the hospital. There's no internal bleeding, but her platelet count is abnormally low, so her doctors now think that she has developed an auto-immune disease. There is no way to test for whatever they think she has without a bone marrow biopsy. This requires general anaesthetic, which she has reacted very badly to in the past.
*bites nails*
I don't want to keep calling my mom and stressing her out with my pestering, because I know she's already worried about Mommom and her own work and life. But I want to know, you know?
There are times that I really hate living so far away from the rest of my family.
OK. I am going to go calibrate my pipettemen and measure scratch width in my wounded cells. Hope y'all are having a good day.
