omg, so tired

I spent ten hours packing up lab today, and it doesn't look packed; it looks like a cardboard factory exploded in there.
Also, the UT med center is ridiculously backwards about recycling plastics. I have the equivalent of an entire trashcan of bottles (emptied, rinsed, labels removed) to be recycled, but nowhere to recycle them except the dinky little can for soda bottles. WTF? Ditto for old pipette-tip boxes (there are cases of them).
Two entire recycle bins, the kind on wheels, filled with journals, catalogs, and old ordering info.
The med school is sort of ridiculous. We can only get keys cut by one official locksmith, and his (single?) machine is broken. So even though this move has been planned for months (and we've had keys ordered for weeks), none of us has keys to our new lab or office yet. That makes moving pretty fucking inconvenient, as it can only be done when someone can let us into the rooms.
*bypasses beer and wine for vodka*
Tell me something that requires little or no brain power to appreciate?
