+ The Chief is off at a professional meeting this week. (Actually started yesterday.) He wanted me to go. Actually, mainly he wanted me to present a poster. My response: I'll generate data for a poster, but I already have plans for those dates. So. I made figures and gave them to him, and he slapped them onto a poster. Which is seriously unattractive. I just. I don't like the way he laid it out. The format is sort of unattractive, with little to mark the flow, and he organized it so that the figures need to be read across the poster, rather than in columns. Which, yes, we generally read left to right (fuck you very much for saying that's why you organized it like that) but when you're strolling down a line of posters, it's easier to make things flow in a column so that people can move once as they finish reading everything in a column, rather than going back and forth against the flow of foot traffic around you. If I were the one standing in front of it, I wouldn't have organized it like that. And my name went first, so it annoys me. Just. URGH. Also, I'm sort of annoyed that he was so excited about a piece of new data that he put it on before I had a chance to reproduce it.

+ EMPIRES. CD. Arrived while I was at Portus. I giggled over the package's handwritten address and return-address, and that the CD case had handnumbered (red Sharpie FTW!) numbering for first pressing. ALSO. I am SO JEALOUS (and wish I could plan my trip home to include seeing): Empires at Ottobar on 16August.

+ NRGH. Had the most awesome dream the other night and figured out how to imply GSF for the girl!Bren fic without actually writing it (which is the problem causing the hold-up, because I just can't do Ryan Ross sex; there will be more Bren/Jon) so hopefully that'll finally get finished this week. Then I have to write:

- the kitchen-sex portion of TeamNakedPics fic
- otter!fic
- other drabbles from the Music is my boyfriend meme (both remaining are HP)
- Harry/Fred/George that I started AGES ago (seriously, like 18 months ago, for twindowlicker), with prodding from alisanne
