NO, REALLY. Portus might actually jolt me out of my uninspired Potter-fic rut.
She picked song #69 in my iTunes, which is Love Love, Kiss Kiss by Alkaline Trio (m4a format).
And the prompts were Snaco, stone.
Do you curse the happy couple?
Do you cringe at wedding bells?
Do you drink up all the punch while you wish 'em all to hell?
"I would not drink that unless I had a bezoar upon my person."
Draco paused, the punch half-way to his lips. "Professor Snape."
"Malfoy."
"Here to stop Potter before he joins the Weasley family for good? Or here to hex the dragon-tamer to hell for stealing him?"
"I am present to wish them all the happiness they deserve."
Smirking, Draco slipped a dull gray stone from his pocket into his cup and took a small sip. He held the liquid in his mouth a moment before swallowing.
"Barberry and blue thistle? I bow to your stealth. Charlie loves elderflower punch, and he'll drink enough to be... incapable on his wedding night. Ingenious, Severus."
"Perhaps I should be inquiring about your intentions, Malfoy."
"It would've been rude to decline the invitation; this is the wedding of the Boy-Who-Lived, after all: the social event of the season. But Potter is welcome to Charlie. I'd had enough slumming with the blood traitors." Draco tossed back the contents of his cup. "But I wouldn't mind spending the evening with more appropriate company."
He set the cup down and headed toward the door.
He didn't have to look back to know that Snape was following.
