Oh shut up, Shrub.
Cut billions of wasteful spending? I bet zero dollars of that comes from the military-industrial complex.
Make health care more accessible by expanding consumer choice? CHOICE isn't the problem right now. The problem is that it's so damn expensive because bloated insurance companies control it all.
*twitch*
*big gulp of wine*
Empower parents? That's the problem with public schools? Please.
NCLB? EVERY child has been left behind. Test scores are bullshit. That just means teachers spent their school year cramming their students with the info that would be tested, not actually teaching.
$300m for poor children "trapped in failing public schools"? Well, gee, maybe if the domestic budget got as much money as, oh, THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, public schools wouldn't be failing.
WHY ARE THEY CLAPPING FOR THIS SHIT?
Um, the hypocrisy of the Shrub talking about cutting greenhouse gas emissions and confronting global warming is utterly astounding.
*exchanges wine glass for V&T*
Funding for basic research? Would be EXCELLENT. Where's that money coming from, if the budget is supposed to be balanced, but he wants to make tax cuts permanent?
*twitch*
How is it that "terrorists" encompass anyone against "democracy" and choice? I'm pretty sure that democratic voting led to Hamas being elected in Palestine, and the US has basically supported brutal suppression, oppression, and starvation ever since. Nice double standard.
Ohgoodgods, Iran and Iraq. I need to turn this off now, before I am physically ill because of his blatant manipulations of statics.
OK, I lied.
Repeat after me: Nuc-le-ar.
We decry genocide in Sudan, but apparently NOT in East Timor or Indonesia, given the official comments on Suharto's death in the last day.
The last one, thank fuck.
The state of our disunion is strong. /sarcasm
