yeah, what she said
Jan. 6th, 2008 07:46 pmI had VH1 on for a while this afternoon, and the Top100 One Hit Wonders were on again.
How does Jimmi Hendrix qualify as a one hit wonder? I mean, he helped change rock and roll forever, so who cares if he only had one song rank on Billboard?
And Suzi Quattro? Possibly the first female rocker EVER (nevermind the genderfuckery required of her public image) to make it on the glam/hard rock scene, even if she didn't get very big in the US. She went on to be Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days. She paved the way for Joan Jett and Lita Ford and the Runaways. A one hitter? W.T.F?
But on the positive side, oh, how I love Alice Cooper. The original dyed-hair, eyeliner-wearing rocker. (I think. Wasn't he before Bowie got big? Or am I wrong?) I heart him.
And also from the WTF category... I'm backing up my iTunes library, and I happened to notice this.

Jon Stewart was on The Simpsons tonight. And he and Stephen Colbert are back tomorrow night. There are no words for my glee. None.
