I think... I think I need to re-think my understanding of "concept album".
See, I think of stuff like Sgt. Pepper or Tommy or Ziggy Stardust as being concept albums. Year Zero is the most recent example of a CD I bought that I'd consider in that category.
So. Melissa Etheridge's album notes say her The Awakening (which, OK, makes me think of Kate Chopin) is a concept album, and listeners should sit for an hour, uninterrupted, to listen. (Not happening right now.)
Huh. Maybe in the traditional definition, in that the songs are related? I guess they tell the story of her life/coming to grips.
