OK, mildly disconcerting: all the big flashing signs on the Loop and the Beltway and the Tollway warning people to make sure their gas tanks are filled up. The "urgent message" billboards are flashing, and if you tune to that AM station, you'll hear the "hurricane season has begun; make sure your vehicle is prepared" warning.
