Today was the longest, crappiest day. Well, not *really* the longest, b/c I've worked some long days lately, and I was only at work for 11 hours today. But still. Shitty.

On the way home, I was station-surfing, and found Addicted on one of the local pop stations. And seriously, there's a family-friendly version of their "I'm so addicted to / the things you do / when you're going down on me" bit? Really? Mix96 can't air that? A station decision or an FCC one? B/c I would have sworn that The Buzz plays the explicit version. Or, IDK, maybe I'm just recalling it from seeing Saving Abel perform it? Anyone know?

I am going to go drink a very large glass (more than a pint) of stout.

I'd say that I'm going to write, because my big bang fic is stalled at 5k words, but I've reached the point where I have no desire to type, no matter how much I think about the plot.



ETA: I forgot! Just a thought. The Snakes and Suits tour is acoustic, and if it's like the last acoustic tour, that means William Beckett and Sisky are the complement for TAI. How many of you think that if Carden was on the tour, Tom Conrad and Empires would still be on the bill for the back end of the tour?

Also, completely unrelated... Jon Stewart just did a whole monologue based around a TV talking head talking about "teabagging the White House". It was one of those I-do-not-think-that-means-what-you-think-it-means moments, and it had me in tears.

Yeah, I do that every time it comes on. I don't know what was so wrong with the original! (There's a country song that they do it to too. The actual song says "Would you get the wrong impression if I called us a cab right now" and on the radio it says "Would you get the wrong impression if I asked you to dance right now" and I'm always like WTF b/c I don't see anything wrong with the real version!)

My brother called as I was walking across the parking lot at school. Talk about bad timing. I still finished my test in 9 minutes (Mr Ingraham timed me, lol) and got a perfect score. But I was texting with my brothers and cousins during class, and Mr Ingraham didn't even notice (his daughter is in the hospital so he was a little distracted).

I can't think of spending money on anything because I need every cent to see Coldplay and I badly lack a job... and well we're living off tortillas and sopa. I actually saved money and planned to see one of my favorite bands today, but when I found out that Coldplay was coming I scratched everything else and tried to find a way to get money fast. I'm kind of sad I didn't get to go tonight, but I've seen them every single time they've come before (with the exception of one time) and I have yet to see Coldplay, even though I've been a Coldplay fan much longer.

I am really excited to see Cake. I saw them once when I lived in Madison, at a tiny venue, and it was a fun time. This is a bigger venue, but hopefully it'll be just as good. :D

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's are supposed to be at Bonnaroo; I'd be surprised if they didn't do other summer festivals in the US - most of June and July are open on their schedule still, aren't they? And they've got a new album to promote!

I saw that blog post, and thought it meant that he forgave Beckett but probably not Carden. But it didn't occur to me until yesterday that Carden probably wouldn't be there for most of this tour.

TAI/empires are in Austin 30th March (a Monday), and Jack's Mannequin is 10May, a Sunday. The Fray/Jack's Mannequin at CWMP is a Saturday in July, I think, but I'm not sure I want to go - I don't like the pavilion unless it's for a festival, and even then I'm not a big fan - pit passes are hard to get, and tickets are always expensive unless you get lawn, which sort of defeats the purpose, IMO.
