i'd be glad it's Friday, but i'm working tomorrow, so...

I am trying not to bitch about work (again) right now. Instead, here's my happy list for the day:

♥ SUSHI

♥ mojitos

♥ The Cab's new t-shirt, which follows in the FBR tradition of being both ugly and nonsensical

♥ mojitos

♥ college hockey on my tv

♥ Madeleine Peyroux

♥ did I mention mojitos?

ETA:
♥ MrIris yelling at the tv: "That guy totally slashed him! Where's the whistle?" *cough*

We're trying to get all the figures for the paper done before we move labs, because that means actual lab work will come to a dead stop for at least a week, if not longer. Right now, we're not scheduled to move for another week (probably) but that could change if the facility repair folks finish fixing the stuff that got messed up when the pipes burst. I realized yesterday that there was one experiment where I've repeated it three times and the trend is reproduced, but none of the x-ray films I have look nice when I scan them and try to make a figure. They're too faint, or the background is too high (the scanner is a cheap one, and loses differences in intensity that can be seen by eye), or (on the one that isn't too faint or have too high background) one of the controls doesn't work. So I'm repeating it again.

Mmm, candy hearts. :)

Ugh, not fun.

yeah, the task for [livejournal.com profile] fab_feb_friends today was to make your own candy hearts and leave them for your friends.

Also? A was totally laughing and parroting all the dorky phrases that the announcers used that could be misinterpreted:

1. He really got some wood on that. (heh)
2. He's an excellent stick handler. (*snicker*)
3. He scored on a hard wrap-around. (O.o)
4. Two men in the slot. (O.O)

I was tempted to make a crude comment about slashing, but restrained myself.

(These were all used in tonight's broadcast. I'm sure there are more that I can't remember off the top of my head.)

You are a bad influence on your husband

HE STARTED IT, SNORTING AND GIGGLING LIKE A SCHOOLBOY OVER THE "WRAPAROUND" COMMENT!

For our next installment of homoerotic entertainment, he's chosen college wrestling. Seriously, college boys in singlets, writhing around on a mat (one dude just had his legs around the other's neck) while people cheer.
