need a hug? I do, for sure
Yesterday was a really long, really shitty day for me. Today has been only marginally better. I know plenty of people on my f-list are having similarly craptacular days/weeks.
So.
Comment here and I'll tell you something I love about you, something about you that intrigues me, something about you that makes me or others smile. SOMETHING POSITIVE.
Got it?
Ready, set, GO!

You are grand fun to fangirl with, especially over Matt Cortez and Brian Schechter when they are less than 15 feet from us. You are also grand fun to share a bed with. ;)
And perhaps this will make you smile:
Iris: Bob uses his arms more than any drummer I've ever seen.
Me: What do other drummers use?
LOL

That was a request so I could think of and say something nice about YOU, not a request for ME! :)
Thinking about Brian Schechter and his cocked hip, leaning against the steps brightens my day.
Besides the fangirling and the awesome taste in music, you understand the different last name thing without requiring a longwinded explanation. You have *no idea* what a relief that is, after living in a place where that is an oddity.

Brian Schechter's cocked hip.... .... .... wait, what? LOL
And I'm glad. :)

How's work going?
Your posts about race, gender, and sexuality always make me stop and think about my privileged position, and give me food for thought.

How's work? It's shitty (http://oneshysistah.livejournal.com/21865.html), but thanks for asking.
I really appreciate your perspectives on work and I like living vicariously through your concert-going experiences. LOL! Glad to know that someone has a fun life outside of science. You inspire me to believe that there is happiness on the other side of grad school. Thanks for that.

it can totally be hugs time now
Your openmindedness forces me to re-examine my own biases.
You took a leap, and maybe it's not working out as well as you hoped, but you TOOK IT, and that's brave.
Plus, priest!Gerard. Your brain!

Since I have known you, and you've been one of my longest-term fandom friends, you've been an amazing, kind, intelligent, generous, and compassionate person. The time you sent me cookies in the mail makes my heart glow, for years now since those cookies have been gone (omg, three summers ago now!!). I've always appreciated your flavoured coffee rants, your food & wine posts, your stories about Mr. Iris and your twin. I love that we're friends on fb now, too, and I hope we always stay that way! *hugs*

I... have to do something about my FB account. I set it up so I could talk to De when she was at work, then I neglected it.
Mm, wine. I think I should have some wine. :)
*hugs back*

And also, I love your science humor. Did I get the song "When I held your brain in my arms" from you? I think about you when I hear it. Maybe it was a geeky music share once upon a time.
Anywho, that songs on the playlist for my wedding. Just thought I'd share.

You are an angel, literally, generously giving where others would pull back and think of themselves instead of others. :)
And you came up with the sentient t-shirt crack, which is the best crack EVER, and makes me giggle whenever I think about it.
OMG, I was looking at gas prices the other night and thinking about roadtripping, and decided it was a really good thing that MCR aren't doing multiple shows in the area now!

Alicia's pink t and Mikey's MFW t making little baby t's was BRILLIANT. So was the MFW t humping Alicia at night. :)

If you ever had time and felt generous, and wanted to scribble out what you remembered of it... that'd be awesome.

You have always impressed me with your intellect and clean, precise writing style and in person, you just rock!
Hope your week gets better - I'm at least on days off where no one will tell me Im a total bitch!

*hugs you tight* Sorry for the crappy day, hon. Hope things are lookin' betterer now.
The universe isn't supposed to bestow crappy days upon my favourite people. I've told it this, like, a million times. :)

Apparently the universe is not cooperating. Or was not. I think the worst of it is over.

Your passion for Snape is inexhaustible! :)
How's stuff? (I'm terrible about checking blogspot and such.)

Stuff is okay... I haven't seen my apartment since mid-May, and I'm desperately lusting after an iPhone. Desperately.
