[livejournal.com profile] why_me_why_not, being generous and creative and talented, took drabble prompts the other night.

I requested Reid/Hotch, restraint, hug at the end of Revelations. And even though she totally does not ship Hotch/Reid, she indulged me.

In other news (although I am not at all sure it's new), I totally fail at LJ and fandom and life right now. But I'm trying to get back on track. Stuff to be edited, stuff to be written, and poll data (from aaages ago) to analyze and post. And a reader commentary about John Amaechi's book and the kerfluffle it caused in the NBA world last week to draft. Posts to comment on, comments to reply to. All that good stuff.

So what's happened lately that I missed?

I'm finally (finally!) feeling better, but all the stuff that's been piling up when I'd come home from work and go straight for the NyQuil now needs the be attended.

What you missed: I had a baby. A girl, 8 lbs, 6 oz. I named her Dora. No idea why, never been particular to Dora but when I looked her, she just screamed Dora - which was lucky because I'd've hated to have had to name her WAAAAHHHH! Aaand I threw my hat in the ring and am running for President of the United States. So I'd greatly appreciate your vote in the primary. And if you have a few spare bucks, please donate to the campaign. This shit is expensive! Actually, do you want to run my campaign? I haven't gotten around to hiring a campaign coordinator. So, keep it in mind. You don't have to decide now. Remember, Vote Fletch 2008!

Kids' books are better adult fiction, I've pretty much decided. I picked up a set of LM Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables series (one of my favorites as a kid), and I'm enjoying the novelty of re-reading them.

Oh, I don't know. Lately I've got lots of experience at not meeting goals and allowing internal stuff to overwhelm external stuff.

Nobody who works so hard to raise her kids, and then still manages to do anything other than fall into bed in exhaustion is failure in my book. ♥

I've got three different Word files open, but am I working on them? No, I'm watching the Oscars instead.
