I had stuff to say about last night's show at the House of Blues, and how awesome (and hot) Tim Lopez growing into a bigger role on-stage is, but that was superceded by a cursory examination of the SXSW artist list.

DISCOS at SXSW. No details about day or venue yet, but.

arielchan and I discussed this possibility a while back, and now it is happening, and OMG, GIMME THAT ALBUM AND THAT STEAMPUNK AESTHETIC AND TOUR DATES SO THE FANGIRL ROADTRIPS MAY BEGIN!



ETA: While I'm thinking about it! Help Stamps get to SXSW. If you don't know them, they are Robert Morris (formerly of the Hush Sound), Ren Patrick, and Adam James. (Also, Ian Crawford played guitar on their first EP, but has since parted ways (to tour with the Discos).)

Last year the showcase that was supposed to be badge-only that included PStump and TYV? We got in w/ no problem. There was a cover, but it was $10 or $20. I'm hoping that they'll do a free show, too, though. :D

I don't know yet! I was going to try and either get that day off or just work a mid (i'll get off by around 5?). I can talk to them tomorrow. I NEVER ask for any time off so I hope that it won't be a big deal.

You know how we are: we'll probably just get Chinese and hang out for hours talking and watching random DVDs, so if you can come to any of it, that'll be cool. IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!

Yeah last year was Travie, TYV, PStump, oh and also HOLE's first show in 10 years. We got there an hour early and all got in for $20 and were on barrier.

But I might buy a wristband just in cases.

d00d, there is no way I could afford a badge! They're like a thousand bucks at this point! But I'm volunteering at SXSW Interactive for the first 5 days of the festival, and in return, I get a free badge! :D

Also, IDK if this is even possible, but maybe there can be a +1 type situation? :D?
