On the negative side: I totally forgot we had lab meeting at 9am today. We used to always have it at 9am on Fridays, but we alternate lab meetings with different groups now, every other Thursday at 9am with one set, every other Tuesday with another. And we changed the time we have it - it started out at 9:30am, but then we had to move it to an earlier time when the dept was doing candidate seminars at 10am, and one of the profs liked it at the earlier time. Either way, I have no excuse. I completely forgot about it, and didn't know where everyone was when I arrived at 9:45am.




On the plus side: had breakfast at the 59 Diner with a friend visiting for the day from Michigan. Hadn't seen him in over a year.

Also positive:

BONNAROO TIX PURCHASED.

And. AND. Weezer, Flaming Lips (doing Dark Side of the Moon), Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, John Fogerty, Bassnectar, Phoenix, and Jay-Z have been announced. Bonnaroo's dribbling out participating acts every five minutes on their twitter and myspace, so I turned their tweets on for my phone. Me, over Weezer -> :DDD

ETA: Also? Dropkick Murphys, Jeff Beck, Manchester Orchestra, Thievery Corporation, and DMB. THE NATIONAL. :DDD

Oh man, that sounds like a deeply confusing schedule! I managed to forget lab meeting once even when it was simply every Monday at 9:30.

It would make life so much easier if we alternated groups, but the meeting was always the same day. But apparently there's a scheduling conflict. *sigh*

Oh, well. I apologized to my boss, and he didn't seem too concerned, so I'll just try to mark my calendar with big red letters for the rest of the semester's meetings.

The lineup is dribbling out one tweet at a time, and I have spent the day flailing every time a new awesome band name arrived on my phone. Plus, we got the tickets that will allow us to camp close to the main stage, in an area where there are actual showers. Which sounds stupid, but is really REALLY not when you've gone four days in mud with 60k other people.

I am still at work. I have about 20 more minutes of work to do, because I didn't plan my experiment very well. Then I'm going home. To exercise. THEN I can tell you about girl-Spencer being (mostly) patient with Brendon the first time they have sex. :D

:( Sorry, I got home, exercised, then watched White Collar with Aaron before falling asleep. At 10:30pm. I am lame.

But. I think I finally have a good idea about girl!Spencer's voice. It's not like she expects Brendon to be good at sex the first time. Not really. Except that he's freakishly good at EVERYTHING he tries, so she's not going to let him off the hook when he comes right away.
