meme! (I need some fannish motivation, y'all)
As seen all over my f-list:
Name a pairing that you know I like and I will tell you:
who is the big spoon/little spoon
what is their favorite non-sexual activity
who uses all the hot water in the morning
what they order from take out
what is the most trivial thing they fight over
who does most of the cleaning
what has a season pass in their DVR
who controls the Netflix queue
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working
who steals the blankets
who leaves their stuff around
who remembers to buy the milk
who remembers anniversaries

Brendon/Spencer
what is their favorite non-sexual activity - surfing
who uses all the hot water in the morning - Brendon
what they order from take out - pizza and wings, but only b/c their favorite tacos are from a place that doesn't deliver
what is the most trivial thing they fight over - Ryan; Spencer thinks Brendon forgave him too easily (this is trivial NOW, when it doesn't matter; early after the split they avoided the topic entirely b/c they were both too angry with him)
who does most of the cleaning - neither of them is particularly neat, but they're glad they have enough money to pay for a cleaning service every week
what has a season pass in their DVR - Family Guy
who controls the Netflix queue - Spencer, b/c when Brendon did, he got distracted and put weird, random shit in there and then never watched it
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working - Spencer
who steals the blankets - also Spencer; Brendon's always too hot, and kicks blankets off
who leaves their stuff around - Spencer; Brendon got used to putting stuff away when he had limited space in his tiny shithole of a studio apartment at 16
who remembers to buy the milk - Brendon, but only b/c Spencer's not a milk drinker, never has been
who remembers anniversaries - Spencer; everything important is noted in his calendar on his iPhone, plus a bunch of dates that he's pretty sure only he remembers

Brad/Walt, college!AU
what is their favorite non-sexual activity - hiking & rock-climbing; Walt never saw mountains up-close and personal before he visited CA with Brad, but he loves the beauty of the high altitudes
who uses all the hot water in the morning - Walt, who loves spending time in water no matter what form
what they order from take out - sushi
what is the most trivial thing they fight over - whether fish tacos really count as Mexican food
who does most of the cleaning - Brad is fucking anal about his stuff, okay?
what has a season pass in their DVR - Boardwalk Empire
who controls the Netflix queue - Walt, because Brad picks too much sci-fi (and BAD sci-fi at that) when left to his own devices
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working - Brad; he's good at looming if/when the super drags his feet about dealing with problems
who steals the blankets - Brad, who usually wakes up as a blanket-burrito when Walt wants his share of the covers
who leaves their stuff around - Walt, although he tries not to let it get messy enough that Brad's OCD will get too crazy
who remembers to buy the milk - they keep a running list on the fridge, and usually go grocery shopping together
who remembers anniversaries - both of them; Brad because he schedules EVERYTHING in his Outlook, and Walt b/c he's just good at remembering that sort of cheesy thing (or at least that's what he says, blushing, when Ray notices that Walt never forgets to mark a birthday, anniversary, or other holiday with a card)

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: competing over the Sunday NYT crossword
who uses all the hot water in the morning: Ray insists that Nate does; Nate points out that the hot water volume is FINE except when they shower together. Then neither of them gets clean, and they abandon the shower when the water goes cool.
what they order from take out: Indian food. Nate loves lamb vindaloo, and Ray's been on a Goan okra with garlic naan kick lately.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over: Ray dog-ears his books, which isn't a big deal if they are HIS books, but when Nate sees him doing it to library books, he uses the LT voice on him. Ray says that's dirty pool, because that voice does things to him, you know?
who does most of the cleaning: It's about 50/50. Ray's actually a decent cook, so he takes care of the kitchen. The bathroom is Nate's responsibility, and otherwise the apartment's kind of just... neat but not overly shiny or dust-free.
what has a season pass in their DVR: The Big Bang Theory ("Shut it, Penny's HOT." "No one dressed that badly in grad school. NO ONE." "You went to Harvard, and didn't study science. I'm pretty sure you're not qualified to judge.")
who controls the Netflix queue: Ray-ray controls the queue and the remote, or they'd end up watching nothing but the Outdoor Network during the Tour de France days and documentaries about war and such. They lived through some of that shit; they don't need to see more of it in their down-time.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Nate, who is handy with big words and persuasion
who steals the blankets: The blankets slowly creep over to Ray's side of the bed as the night wears on. Nate's never completely blanket-less, but by morning, he's got sheet wrapped around his legs and the edge of the duvet is crawling across his upper arm & shoulder.
who leaves their stuff around: Neither, really. They got too used to having things squared away; even now, they're pretty neat.
who remembers to buy the milk: Ray. The kitchen is his domain. Although Nate will pick some of it Ray texts him to pick up the makings for supper on his way home from work.
who remembers anniversaries: They don't really do the anniversary thing, themselves. What would they count: the first time they met? The first time Nate gave Ray an order? First beers they had post-OIF?
