(no subject)

Finally home from a long day at work, which was followed by seeing Tony Lucca at Fitzgerald's. (I've seen him a handful of times, and yet I had none of his music in my library. How?)

The download of the new Bush album is in my inbox, and a copy of the new Eve Dallas novel was waiting on my doorstep.

I really should close iTunes, put the book down, and go to bed. I have work (so much work, oh gods) to do tomorrow.

We all know how good I am at doing what I should do, as opposed to what I want to do, right?

I just started reading the Eve Dallas novels! I like them a lot so far. (I've read like five of 'em?)

I started reading the Eve Dallas series when it was only out in paperback, long long ago, and even though the Robb pseudonym has long since earned its way to hardback publication, new books in the series are on my auto-buy list. I don't know, I just really like the mix of procedural and personal. And I like the fact that for Eve & Roarke the traditional gender roles are reversed, even if I sometimes (especially in the early books in the series) find Roarke's courting methods sort of high-handed.
