Priest: PLS, SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER?

I assume that's where we're going with that ending, yes? Y/Y/MFY?

a) Vampire movie wherein the vampires do not sparkle, are not seductive or appealing in any way.
b) Karl Urban
c) Paul Bettany
d) I would read the hell out of Priestess/Priest UST/unrequited love *points at their names*
e) Did I mention Paul Bettany? And Karl Urban?

(I had a moment where I thought that Stephen Moyer (Owen) looked like Dallon Weekes. And then I laughed at myself for not recognizing the actor immediately, because I must be the only person IN THE WORLD left who doesn't watch True Blood because I can't stand Sookie or Bill as characters, in the books or on TV.)

The trailer for Straw Dogs was one of the previews. Why, ASkars? Why do you have to hurt me by looking so damn fine in that misogynistic excuse for a movie that glorifies rape and portrays the locals as backwards and violent?

I enjoyed Priest a lot for what it is: an adaptation of a graphic novel about vampires. And Paul Bettany. And the clear differences it delineates between church and faith, which to me are two very different things.

Ugh, I read the books early on, but Sookie made me so angry - she's a hypocrite and a Mary Sue - that I had to stop. Then I re-read a bunch of them when I had some time off, thinking I'd maybe see something I'd missed before, but no. No amount of eye-candy on screen can make up for the waste of my time when there's other stuff to be doing/watching.

I'm not expecting shakespeare, and I have a free pass, so it seems worth the price of admission.

Is Straw Dogs a remake of a Dustin Hoffman movie?

Yes, it's a remake. Set in rural US rather than UK.
