Apparently Don't Ask, Don't Tell only applies when you're not outing yourself deliberately for a discharge?
... I don't even know what to say about this. The entire policy is so fucked up to begin with, but then to deliberately NOT follow rules you're raising a stink over removing?
ETA: Also in the WTF category... Invitrogen must be making a FUCKTON of money. I called to see if I could wangle a discount if we buy serum supplements in bulk, and our rep offered me what is essentially 50% off. Jeez, people who work in cell biology get screwed by their suppliers if they just go with the list price.
