Reading the recaps of the Buffalo show reminded me of this: at the Minneapolis show, the dudebro behind me told me that he wished the lineup were different, because Weezer was way better than Fall Out Boy (I like Weezer, so I can't really argue too hard against that, but Rivers Cuomo isn't as ridiculously amusing as Pete and Patrick - he's just plain weird - so they're on completely different levels to me), and that Panic At The Disco had broken up - the lead singer wasn't with them anymore, so they were going to suck.
But he still sang along to Nine In The Afternoon. Heh.
I am at work. I keep telling myself that working an extra weekend is a worthwhile exchange for last weekend's funtimes, but it's a hard sell.
Tell me something good?
OR!
Give me a person/pairing, and three words. I'll think about drabbles while I defrost the lab freezer and clean out the tissue-culture 'fridge.

I found a packet of long-forgotten spinach glacier'd into the icepack last time I defrosted our home freezer - I shudder to think what horrors might await you in defrosting the science lab one. :D ("It's ALIVE!!")
Btw - *hugshugshugshugs*

Are you all settled in, now?
Oh, man. Someone's been opening the door and then just standing there as they dig through the box they need, so there are MOUNTAINS of ice. There are boxes of oligonucleotide stocks frozen to the shelves. I have a feeling that some of the smaller bags and boxes of chemical aliquots are buried in the snowbanks, too. :(

*settles down to a good cuddle*
We're... sort of?... settled. I think. Still boxes in places they shouldn't be and stuff. But we're living with it. And getting "there". We'll be okay, methinks. Though Ling doesn't seem very happy with this move, poor lass. :( I think all three of us are still in a rather definite state of unrest. Definitely been the most stressful move I've ever had - I'd wager the same for D (and certainly L's behaviour says likewise for her, too). *le sigh*
You're just throwing words like oligonucleotide and aliquots out there now because you know how much I like 'em, aren't ya? ;D

Poor Ling! And D! And you! *hugs tigher* *pets*

Spencer Smith, tree-hugger, bike, coffee.

It's not that he's a tree-hugger or anything, but he'd prefer not to contribute any more than necessary to the current environmental crisis. So he puts recycle bins in Brendon's kitchen when he moves in, and fiddles with the sprinklers so that they dribble a minimal amount of water on the grass in the coolest part of the night, and buys some organic cotton/hemp bags for grocery shopping.
He even digs his old bike out of storage. He figures he can patronize local establishments, and do so under his own power, rather than driving across town for things. Which works fine until he goes to the neighborhood coffee shop and realizes he can't steer and hold two grande vanilla cappuccinos at the same time.
