nothing productive here at all
This weekend I:
+ laughed over bandom-related things with other fangirls until I couldn't breathe
+ finished the first scene of my
bandombigbang fic (\o/)
+ held Ginny (she is tiny and precious and adorable)
+ ate the most delicious waffle ever at House of Pies
+ went capslock-crazy over the Discos (again); Brendon's always been hot IMO, but now there is video evidence that has convinced everyone else on my f-list! Plus, Eric Ronick was back with them, so I was all ♥__♥ at the video of him and Brendon joining Spencer on his kit. SO TOTALLY GOING TO SEE BLACK GOLD AT SXSW, OMG.
/capslock.
(Sorry about that relapse.)
+ saw Taken at the Alamo Drafthouse.
Mostly I liked it, because it was all Liam Neeson, but from the moment the girls landed at the airport, I was like, "They are dumber than rocks. Even when I was in high school, when we traveled to Europe, we got the lectures about talking to guys at the airport, and about taking cabs from the airport (because of theft by uncertified cabbies)." Also? Way to play into cultural and racial stereotypes, making a rich, elderly Arab sheikh the potential deflowerer of the pale-skinned virgin at the end.
+ watched AAR's Live From Oklahoma: Too Bad For Hell. Dear Nick, Please play your entire show without a shirt on. Also? Please announce some US tour now that HCT is canceled. Kthnx, 'bye.
+ re-read Chelsea Cain's Heart Sick. Archie and Gretchen's relationship is creepy and twisted, and I want to read the sequel NOW (even if the doctor/reporter interview makes every instinct I have scream No, no, no! Even with a HIPAA waiver, no hospital P. R. person would let you do that interview unmonitored).
The Chief is out of town most of this week, leaving when there's lab packing and moving to be done. I feel like Susan from L.M. Montgomery's Anne's House of Dreams and Anne of Ingleside when I think, Isn't that just like a man?

+ I really liked Taken, but the girls were really dumb. Also, the girl who played the daughter is from LOST & it took me the entire movie to figure that out.
+ AAR totally needs to announce a US tour that is coming close to me!
+ I have never read this book you speak of.

It's a thriller - a police procedural/psychological thriller. The story of one serial killer/rapist being hunted interspersed with the detective's past, where he was captured and tortured by a different serial killer.

Also, is there anything hotter than Desolation Row? Seriously? Is there? Because right now I cannot think of a single thing. Sweet merciful things I hold holy--it kicks major bottom. (My .02 obviously.)
Quoting Anne Books!!!!
ETA: Yep, Brendon has **always** been hot and actually I'm surprised that your flist needed convincing. ~boggles~ Have they looked at the boy/man?
And sharing a drumkit? Seriously? OMG....boys!!!

and the fact that he's wearing his boyfriend's shirtconvinced them.I just wish Desolation Row were as long as the original. Because I am greedy and always want MORE!

I think it would be awesome if it were as long as the original, lol, but Gerard's essay on how their poor little wrists would break convinced me that this was okay too. :D LOL. :D
I am so happy that these boys decided the internet was for sharing! :D
