THERE AREN'T WORDS FOR MY GLEE. OMFG.

[livejournal.com profile] randomepiphany? [livejournal.com profile] nessime_lisen? You are totally welcome to come for the Houston gig.

ETA: Verizon and the Meridian both already have acts scheduled for the tentative date in Houston. Hm....

ETA2: *whimper* They just removed the Houston date (and Dallas, but not Austin). I'm sure it's 'cause Verizon is booked for that night, and they're going to reschedule. I hope.

I might have squealed in an undignified manner. Luckily, no one else was in the lab with me.

And... DUDE. I think it'll work out just right so that we get into Portland with enough time for sleep and then LINE PARTAY.

Your ears are going to be ringing. No work on Wednesday, man. :)

[identity profile] fleurdeliser.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeh, maybe not so much. Good thing I have 2 weeks of vacation pay, eh?

[identity profile] asimplechord.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
I have approximately 40 days of sick leave. I believe I might just be "sick" on the day of the Austin show.

[identity profile] fleurdeliser.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Hee. Definitely.

ALSO (I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT): Mindless Self Indulgence is going to be here 3/30. I really, really want to go see Gerard's hot wife play.

[identity profile] asimplechord.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they're playing the Meridian in... May, maybe? Dunno, I have a couple of their CDs, but I'm not the world's biggest fan of Jimmy Urine. But Lyn-Z and her bass and her school-girl outfits are tempting. And Kitty, a girl drummer! How much do I love the women in charge of the rhythm? Much. I think it depends on how busy that work-week is, and I'll decide at the last minute.

"We wanted to come to these places. We selected them. We really love the venues we are playing and wanted to get away from big shows for a while. When we started this thing, we could feel you guys right in front of us. It is time for that to happen again. See you soon."

*DIES*

[identity profile] asimplechord.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
EEEEEeee! I wonder if that means they're playing Verizon or the Meridian or what in Houston. !!!!!!! I... I wonder if I can justify going to the Austin show too....

[identity profile] fleurdeliser.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Of COURSE you can.

I REALLY want to know where they're playing in Portland. GAH. DYING. AND JAMIE IS AWOL.

Well, see, I was talking to Kim about going to see Radiohead with her and her boyfriend, but I don't think I can afford to see two MCR shows and a Radiohead show (and the Panic gig is that same week as the MCR, 4/20) so I'd have to choose. And we know who would win that contest, don't we? FRANK IERO and BOB BRYAR, HANDS DOWN.

OMG. PANIC ISN'T UNTIL JUNE HERE.

I like Radiohead, but am pretty meh about the thought of seeing them live. I'm fairly certain basically nothing could compare to MCR live, though, so...

OMG. *FLAILS MORE*

[identity profile] asimplechord.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, Ray Toro. Can I admit to you that half the reason I'm intrigued by The Cab is the fact that Ian looks like Toro a decade ago?

[identity profile] fleurdeliser.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Er, the above should have read: OMG. PANIC ISN'T HERE UNTIL JUNE.

*giggles at self*

I have been rendered a noodlehead by this.

Yes, that is perfectly acceptable to admit. Hee.

[identity profile] asimplechord.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
I understood what you meant. :)

[identity profile] fleurdeliser.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
In a note unrelated to concert squee, but TOTALLY RELATED TO ALL OTHER KINDS OF SQEE...

Have you SEEN THIS VIDEO?

Bob Bryar. HOW SO AMAZING?

[identity profile] asimplechord.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
I saw the first part before, but the actual playing? Oh, Bob Bryar.

(I have to admit, even years after learning to hold drum sticks for marching band, that the matched grip that he uses makes my wrist hurt, just looking at it.)

[identity profile] fleurdeliser.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
This too.

It's from a live performance. Shows him switching kits on the rotating platform mid-rotate. For some reason that impresses me. A lot. Might have something to do with my lack of coordination. You can hear the other stuff in the background, but it's mainly bob. Especially the first few minutes.
