This is lovely. The tone, the quiet that pervades it; just lovely.

My favourite part is the last section which just seemed to tie the whole story together for me. I read it and I just thought, "Oh, of course, that's where their whole relationship has been heading; it really is like the tide, steady, inexorable and inevitable."
