Brendon should have been suspicious when Shane handed his camera off to Jon. It wasn't that Shane didn't trust Jon -- he did, they were friends and Jon was an awesome photographer -- but Shane's camera was a part of him and he rarely gave it up. Still Brendon was distracted by the way Spencer and Ryan started making faces at Jon and posing for the camera and didn't see Shane until he was standing right beside him.
"We need to talk," Shane said, voice low and steady as he circled his fingers around Brendon's wrist, pressing slightly.
"We don't -- I --" Brendon tried to pull away from Shane, but he just tightened his grip. "You wouldn't understand," he finally said, sighing and looking at his feet before glancing up, trying to avoid looking directly at Shane.
Shane looked like he wanted to argue, but pressed his lips together to keep in the words and shook his head. "C'mon." He nudged Brendon towards the door with one hand on his back, the other still wrapped firmly around his wrist. "We're gonna talk."
