I totally thought France was going to win. In fact, when the last US swimmer was pulling closer to Bernard, I thought for sure that he wouldn't be able to pull ahead. It seems too weird even for a fictional story, that it would end that way.

The swimmers are almost as slashy as the divers. And the wrestlers. :)
